By Air

London City Airport is located 5 minutes from ExCeL London by taxi or 10 minutes by DLR (Docklands Light Railway). The airport offers 350 flights per day, from over 40 international destinations.

By Tube

The Jubilee Line is recommended as the quickest route to ExCeL London and the ICC.

Alight at Canning Town and change onto a Beckton-bound DLR train, for the quick journey to Prince Regent for ExCeL (East) and ICC London.

By Rail

London is connected by rail to all major cities in Great Britain. In addition, Eurostar operate regular train services to Brussels and Paris operating from St Pancras International.

London's main rail terminuses are Charing Cross, Euston, Kings Cross / St Pancras International, Liverpool Street, London Bridge, Marylebone, Moorgate, Paddington, Victoria and Waterloo.

Most rail companies release cheaper advanced tickets twelve weeks prior to travel. Sign up for tickets alerts from to get the cheapest tickets as soon as they come on sale.

By Car

Follow signs for Royal Docks, City Airport and ExCeL. There is easy access from the M25, M11, A406 and A13. For a map showing major local roads click here.

Parking Information

ExCeL London offers on-site car parking for 3,700 cars.

All onsite parking is pay and display, with the exception of the Royal Victoria multi-storey car park, which is located at the west end of the site. Parking in the Royal Victoria multi-storey car park can be paid for at one of the three pay points located within the car park at the end of your visit (the machines are located on level two and level zero, and all machines accept both cash and credit card). ExCeL London offers 158 disabled parking spaces, located within close proximity of the venue. Spaces are available to blue badge holders only and badges must be displayed at all times. Parking for disabled visitors is charged at the normal rate.

Parking for cars at ExCeL London’s onsite locations is £15 for up to 24 hours.

This tariff is applicable for the following locations: Royal Victoria multi-storey car park, Undercroft parking (Orange and Purple) and the East Car Park.


Can be parked free of charge in any of the above locations.

Driving in London – Low Emission Zone

The venue is located outside the Congestion Charge Zone but is included in the Low Emission Zone.

The Low Emission zone seeks to improve the air quality in the city by deterring the most polluting vehicles from driving in the area.

Walking and Cycling

ExCeL London has 60 cycle racks in total.

6 cycle racks are located at the West entrance taxi drop off point just underneath the DLR walkway.

54 cycle racks are located next to the East Entrance underneath the stairway connecting Level 0 to Level 1.

There is no charge to use the cycle racks.

Where to eat and drink

ExCeL has a large selection of restaurants in and around the venue, from cheap eats to quality restaurants it has it all.

Traveling from across the UK

Air – Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen airports all fly into London City Airport. Arrive at ExCeL in under an 1hr 30mins. 
Rail – There are regular services from Scotland to London Euston Station via Virgin Trains Services.
Road – London can easily be accessed from the North via the M1.

Northern Ireland

Air – Both Easy Jet and Aer Lingus run services to and from London Gatwick and Belfast City Airport

North West England

Air– There are regular flights from Manchester and Liverpool John Lennon airports .
Rail - Most trains to and from the North West will be arriving intLondon Euston Station.
Road – London can easily be accessed via the M1.  

North East England

Rail - Most trains to and from the North West will be arriving intLondon Euston.
Road – London can easily be accessed via the M1.  


Rail – There is a regular train service that runs to and from South Wales into London Paddington. From North Wales trains arrive into London Euston.
Road – London can easily be accessed from South Wales via the M4. From North Wales it is best to travel via the M1.

West Midlands

Rail – Trains from Birmingham and the West Midlands regularly run into London Euston and London Marylebone.
Road – Dependant on your original location but London can be accessed via the M40 and M1. When joining the M25 from the M40 travel anticlockwise.

East Midlands

Rail – Regular services run into Kings Cross St Pancras on an hourly rate from most cities and towns in the East Midlands.
Road – When travelling to London from the East Midlands there are two major roads, The M1 from Leicester and Northampton and also the A1 (M). Travel clockwise on the M25

South West England

Rail – Regular trains from the South West arrive into London Paddington. 
Road – If you are travelling from the South West you can access London via A303 then M3 or alternatively via the M4 from the M5. When approaching the M25 travel anti clockwise for quickest route to ExCeL London.

South England

Rail – Trains run into Waterloo and London Victoria on an hourly basis with easy access to the Jubilee line which is the quickest route to ExCeL.
Road – There a numerous routes into London from the South of England with major motorways including the M3, M4 and M23. It is better to travel anti-clockwise on the M25 to access ExCeL London.

South East England & London

Rail – There are regular public transport links to and from London and with the London Underground lines running as far as Amersham your travel into London couldn’t be easier. Please use the interactive map to plan your route.

Visa Letters

River and Cable Car

The Emirates Air Line (Cable Car) connecting ExCeL London and the O2 opened last summer. It's now possible to travel by Thames Clipper between central London and the O2 and then by Cable Car across the Thames to ExCeL London.

Thames Clippers (Connections by River):
Thames Clippers is the leading commuter boat service on the River Thames. Departures are available  from all major piers, including The O2, Greenwich, Canary Wharf, Tower, London Bridge, Embankment and Waterloo, every 20 minutes during peak hours (from 6am to 1am).

Adult Single: £5.50
Oyster Card £5.00
Travelcard (1/3 off): £3.70
From the O2 visitors can use the Emirates Air-Line Cable Car for the quick 5-minute connection to ExCeL London.
